I needed Apple techs to get rid of Mackeepers before, so instead of risking damage, I deleted OnyX by using Clean my Mac X Uninstaller. To get to the Onyx app, Mackeepers kept moving in front, trying to force me to use it. When I opened and began process to use, the MacKeepers ransomware icon came up. Sadly this will be the last time I deal with this app. I will definitely be looking elsewhere for something other than Onyx.
Spark, a great keyboard remapping utility has TOTALLY stopped working and requires to be totally wiped from my computer via AppCleaner. It cannot be a coincidence that the last two times I used Onyx that my 2009 Macbook has gotten hosed.
